Most Ice Cream Sundae desserts use sauces such as chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, or strawberry and toppings including chopped nuts, whipped cream, or maraschino cherries.
The most popular varieties include: Hot Fudge Sundae, Turtle Sundae, Brownie Sundae, Banana Split, Bananas Foster, American Parfait, and can be varied with pieces of candy bars, different ice cream, flavors, cookie or cake pieces, and different candies.
Sundaes often have "themes" to them, be creative and ask your customers what they would be interested in!
