How is Sorbet different than similar desserts?

A frozen dessert, pronounced "sor-bay". It is a made from sweetened water and a frozen fruit puree. It is dense and even in texture, unlike a slushy ice or a granular granita. Sorbet is a vegan dessert often confused with sherbet which uses milk products and gelato which isn't quite as soft as sorbet.
