Nov 4, 2008 Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Expands in Canada By
Tara Pfahler
Baskin-Robbins continues to expand and grow in Canada. With over store locations in the country, the ice cream chain hopes to open 3 to 5 new locations in the Hamilton and Niagra areas.
The company is searching for "business experts" to open the new locations. No ice cream experience is necessary.
Baskin-Robbins was started by brothers-in-law Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins. Their first ice cream store opened in Glendale, California in 1945. Today Baskin-Robbins has nearly 6,000 outlets in 34 countries around the world.
Baskin-Robbins currently offers franchise information seminars, where interested parties have the opportunity to learn more about the brand and visit a new concept store
