Strickland's Frozen Custard is an Akron, OH based ice cream company with 14 locations in four states. The newest location is set to open in Lake Wylie, SC.
The store was set to open in June, but construction was delayed. Owner Andrew Puch does not think the cold weather will slow down customer flow.
The old-fashioned soda shop will share space with a tenant in a 1,600-square-foot building. The menu includes 75 flavors handmade daily, along with milkshakes, cones, sundaes, banana splits, pies and more. Hot dogs, hot beverages, and soups will also be available.
"Ice cream is still the main draw, but we want it to be a family-friendly occasion together," Puch said. "We don't just want people to buy ice cream and leave."
