Nov 6, 2008 Boulder Ice Cream Signs Deal With Movie Theater By

Century Boulder Theater signed a deal with Boulder Ice Cream to carry 10 of the local company's flavors.
This is one of several growth initiatives for the Boulder-based ice cream company. The launch of certified organic ice cream and new packaging, the sale of "grab n' go" cups at Colorado sports venues and other locations, and the addition of more scoop shops and grocery stores that carry the products are other recent developments for the business.
After the launch of the organic line, the number of Boulder Ice Cream retail products doubled. The company offers 7 all-natural flavors and 7 organic flavors in pints.
Boulder Ice Cream opened 3 more ice cream shops across the state, and signed deals with other venues such as the Pepsi Center, Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium, Piazanos at the University of Colorado and Century Boulder Theatre.
Century Boulder Theatre is operated by Cinemark U.S.A., Inc. The decision to carry Boulder Ice Cream was a result of several requests for locally made products, and specific requests for the brand.
Boulder Ice Cream has not seen the normal economic downturn it usually experiences during the colder months. Glennise Humphrey, Boulder Ice Cream's vice president of sales and marketing, says this is due to more people spending less money on eating out for meals like dinner, and spending more money indulging in treats like ice cream.
