Mar 19, 2008 Dreyer's Salutes 1,500 Neighborhoods With Ice Cream Socials By
Lindsay McMillan
Dreyer's considers this sweet tradition the perfect way for neighbors to mingle and build a stronger community bond.
Winning neighborhoods receive doorstep delivery of ice cream and all the fixings, including supplies (napkins, spoons, cups, bowls, and more) for up to 100 neighbors.
Since its debut in 2005, the Dreyer's Slow Churned Neighborhood Salute program has hosted 4,500 ice cream socials for 450,000 residents.
"We've heard from thousands of winning neighbors throughout the past three
years. They have shared incredibly heartfelt stories about how their parties
have brought their communities closer together," said John Harrison, Official
Taster for Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream. "We're happy to give people of all ages
a fun way to get to know each other better!"
