Back in 1897, in the Midwestern farming community of Orrville, Ohio, Jerome Monroe Smucker pressed locally grown apples into cider and apple butter. True to his upbringing, Jerome took great pride in a job well done and signed the lid of every crock of apple butter as his personal guarantee of quality. By adhering to a very simple set of Basic Beliefs, The J.M. Smucker Company grew and prospered.
Today, our marketplace is the world. While Orrville, Ohio, remains our headquarters, we now operate facilities throughout the United States and abroad to manufacture a wide range of products.
From our small town beginning to our present worldwide distribution, pride in the family name has remained as strong as ever. Now, under the management of fourth-generation Smuckers, we continue to stand behind our guarantee of homemade taste, quality, and goodness.
