Can anyone help? They are non-waxy, more candylike...and the brand name is *something* like Whirly's (Wurley's? Whirlies?). Tried them in Vermont, so they may be an East vs. West coast brand.

I've searched on many variations of this name, to no avail. If anyone knows the brand I'm referring to, would you please let me know? Thanks!

I found this online

"If Your Rainbow Jimmies Seem More Like Wax Than A Treat… If Your Chocolate Sprinkles Don’t TASTE Like Chocolate… They must not be from the American Sprinkle Company. Taste the Difference. The American Sprinkle Company began with four brothers who knew that sprinkles should not only look good, but taste great as well. Dissatisfied with what was available, they searched for years before rediscovering a recipe for making sprinkles that traced back to Europe. Endless patience, attention to detail, and hard work resulted in the finest quality sprinkle available. The American Sprinkle Company prides itself on using the Highest Quality Ingredients that yield the Best Tasting sprinkles in the world. American Sprinkle Company delivers a true Premium Product - one that customers will notice - without a premium price. One taste and you will know what all our customers are talking about. The company will sell to large baking companies (Think Hostess or Krispy Kreme), Baking Supply Distributors who will resell the sprinkles, Ice Cream and Restaurant Supply Distributors (think Sysco). This is not a consumer package good company, but instead sells pallets of 25 pound boxes of Sprinkles - sometimes even truckloads of sprinkles. "

Just google "American Sprinkle Company" and you should find their site - give them a try.
