Hi folks,

Just signed in and am new to this group.

Steve Christensen is my name and Im from Australia originally, but now live in St Louis MO with family.

We are all ice cream lovers. We had our own frozen custard stores in Australia and now I have the great job of running an ice cream training school in St Louis.

There are a few other ice cream groups that I participate in, and wanted to see if I could learn here as well as offer some advice if needed.

Looking forward to "scoopin on" with you all.

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the group, we're happy to have you! What type of stuff do you teach at your training school?

We'd love to have your input here in the forum - feel free to browse through topics and respond with your opinion. I think coming from experience as a shop owner and now a teacher can really provide a unique view point to this forum!

Hi,

Well we run training courses that teach people how to open up their own ice cream stores basically. The website is www.frozendessertinstitute.com if you wanted a browse.

In the news tab, I do a monthly update with marketing and training ideas for store owners and some store and vendor profiles.

As I say, I participate in a number of other forums and give presentations at ice cream events around the country, so Im happy to help out where I can.

Please let me know if I can help out

Very nice. We'd love you to post anything you think might be a good thread such as common pitfalls to avoid. Some basic getting started information and etc.

You can also post your monthly updates here - might help you reach a new audience for your courses. We are open to working with you - we just want this forum to be as helpful as possible for our audience. So let us know if you have any ideas as well. :D
