Hello, I'm Bridgitte, owner and chef for Little Tart's Ice Cream & Sweets - a ice cream parlor opening next spring in Oakland, CA. At Little Tart’s Ice Cream & Sweets we produce high quality, small-batch ice cream daily using what is best and freshest from local vendors and fair-trade manufacturers. I am excited to have found this forum and have already read some really interesting posts.

Welcome and congrats on your new soon to be opened shop! It sounds like a great idea - using local vendors and free trade supplies is a great move and should do quite well with the California population.
Do you have some plans in place for your grand opening? It's a great idea for you to open next spring, that will give you a little time to practice and get things in order for the summer months (which will be your busiest time).
