Hello all!
I am thinking of re-opening my dad's old ice cream shop but I can't seem to find a version of the machine he used.
Maybe you can help.
I know its a pretty big machine that is floor standing and made of stainless steel. It was made by an italian company and it is paddle operated with a salt and water mixture surrounding the metal container. The whole unit looks stainless steel and had the engine on top. This particular machine was actually displayed outside of the kitchen and you(the shoppers) could see it make ice cream in front of you so it did not look so bland like many of the ones I see today. I believe the unit cost 10,000 plus back in the 1980s. It was a very stable unit and had a metal top surrounding the metal container. I remember that it looked indestructable.
I am really finding it hard to find this style of machine. Can someone provide a suggestion? I located one of the ones we owned but I'll need to drive quite a distance to find it and locate the brand. Any suggestions would be great :)
Thanks!
Edmund
