There is very little traffic on here, is the a more used forum out there where everyone hangs out?

Yea what do we need to do to get people using this forum? There seem to be a ton of members but nobody posts here except me & you!!

I think maybe everyone is out busy selling. I hope so, I haven't done very well this summer. I hope everyone else is having better luck. It is so weird around here, it's just like a couple of the towns I do are dead. Last year there would be kids out playing and people working in their yards and what not but this year it is just like everyone disappeared. Maybe the rapture has come and I am one of the people left!:(

But seriously, it has been very slow this summer. I hope it picks up. I have tried to do those couple ghost towns on different days but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I think I'm gonna head to Washington and request a bail out!

Where do you live I just got into this business after a 37 year ban on ice cream trucks I got the ordinances rewritten to allow them & started a month ago. The rain & weather has been my only hangup so far. But I don't even go out until after 4:00 because people work during the day so I work from 4-8 everyday and about noon-8 on sat & sun.

I live in West Virgina. I don't go out until evening as well. I have two towns that I do pretty good considering the size. However two towns that I did well in last year haven't been worth doing. There is never anybody around, it's like they were all abducted or something.

Weekends here don't work, everybody goes shopping at Walmart or the malls. There is also a small race way nearby and they have races on Saturdays that a lot of people go to. Been trying to get in there to sell but no luck so far. Maybe it is because I live in a rural area, things might be different in a large town or city. I am just assuming that you live in a more populated area, I could be wrong. I am hoping that maybe when school is back in on Wednesday things will pick up. Maybe people won't be out running around as much when their kids have to get up early. Well enough of me whining. Good job on getting that ban lifted!

There is a site called "Roadfood.com" it is very helpful, lots of traffic everyday. Everything from ice cream, italian ice to hot foods, all kinds of stuff.

No, You cannot get anyone to engage you with an answer or anything. I suspect it's exagerated purpose is spam.

Hello everyone,

just stepped in to the forum, planning to start a Ice cream parlour and a own brand to sell as scoops and to the super markets in the form of bulk packs. any resources or suggestions. Thanks in advance. Read about great stories of ben & Jerry / baskin robbins and many more like them...have a good day ppl

I can't figure it out man.
When I found this site I figured I had hit the mother load, there must be a million ice cream stores in north America.
I've tried to engage people but no one comes back.
Every once in a while new start ups come here then leave, where do all the established stores go to talk.
If you go to food sites you can't shut them up, lots of advice from people who have done it before.
Seems like Ice Cream people can't type.:confused:

I know the feeling. I figured I had hit the mother load as well. I can't undersand it- seldom does anyone respond with an answer.
