Hi all
I was happy to see this forum. Im a foreign national and I have contemplated bringing my savings to the USA and start up an small ice-cream parlor.
I want to make a gelato concept selling out of a tiny shop. Not more than 400 sq ft if I can find it
I hope I will be able to get some good advice and tips from you guys. I have been building a spreadsheet to calculate sales and costs, but I am very unsure about what volume of customers I can expect.
There are so many variables but i find that no matter how i tweak it, the model suggests that with one employee + me, i will need around 100 sales a day at an average of 4 dollars per sale just to break even.
Do you have any comments on this? Is it unrealistic, or doable? How can I make a god estimate on number of customers per day?
Thank you very much for you answers
Andreas Nicolet
