Ice Cream Vending Ban Could be Lifted in Colorado
In Aurora, CO, ice cream pushcarts and trucks could be allowed in select neighborhoods and parks as early as next summer. This could be the first time ice cream vendors could legally operate in 49 years.
The new law would allow ice cream trucks and pushcarts in certain city wards from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. everyday in the summer, with the proper permit. The law has been split into two parts. The second part would allow ice cream trucks and pushcarts in specific areas at city events.
Because there are two parts to the new ice cream vending legislation, they may be voted on separately at the next city council meeting.
