Patio Furniture in Ice Cream Pastels

Have you ever heard the saying: “The Devil is in the details?”

That is what branding is all about.  This picture of the patio The Big Chill ice cream parlor in Toronto shows patio furniture that has been meticulously painted to match the pastel colors of the ice cream sold inside.  Each slat and rung of the chairs and the table in this picture is reminiscent of a flavor of ice cream – green pistachio, creamy vanilla and strawberry.  All of the furniture on the patio sticks to this color theme which is further emphasized in the ice cream shop’s signage.

Furthermore the slats in these chairs match the colors of the booths, chairs and walls inside the place. This gives the place a sense of thematic unity that customers find attractive. The colors are also light and playful without being too childish; they are just the right shade of pastel to look worldly and European.  If you can find little details like this to emphasize in your decor you can develop a reptuation for running a posher business then you actually are!
